The international workshop aims at involving young scientists and conservationists into processes of the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) as well as the implementation of IPBES products.

The role of IPBES is to assess knowledge on the state of biodiversity and ecosystem services in order to strengthen the knowledge foundation and to build capacity for the support of policy making.The involvement of the youth is critical for assuring the quality and for a greater outreach of the results of the assessments.

The focus topic of this workshop will be decided in due course.
