This report is reflecting the presentations and discussions during the first meeting of the Platform “Ecological Network” under the Alpine Convention. It provides an inventory on the initial situation, as countries have been working on linking protected areas and wider countryside protection in the past, and outlines successful examples within countries and of transboundary projects.
